Under the title \u201cFacilities as climate shelters: renovation and reconfiguration of buildings to adapt them to climate change\u201d, the session will take place in the CoCreem<\/strong> space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The objective will be to analyse how public facilities can be transformed to respond to episodes of extreme heat and situations of climate stress. The proposal is based on a clear idea: many existing buildings can take on new climate protection functions if they are renovated and reconfigured with appropriate technical criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The session will address this adaptation from different perspectives, including energy and water installations<\/strong>, which are decisive for ensuring comfort, efficiency and the response capacity of buildings. The work will be structured around a group co-creation dynamic, based on various types of facilities: sports centres, educational centres, libraries, residential homes, CAP, cultural centres and auditoriums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This approach will make it possible to share needs, design criteria and intervention possibilities in buildings that already form part of the everyday infrastructure of towns and cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The second session will be led by Manuel Mar\u00edn<\/strong> and will include the participation of Joel Nadal<\/strong>, from Wattega. It will take place in the Innovation<\/strong> space and will focus on \u201cInnovative technologies for decarbonisation, resilience and the energy transition\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The session will analyse the main levers in the energy sector to move towards decarbonisation<\/strong>, strengthen system resilience<\/strong> and accelerate the energy transition<\/strong> in line with European directives. Based on a diagnosis of the sector, three key technological vectors will be presented: electrification of production, demand flexibility and the deployment of energy storage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It will also include real examples and experiences driven by engineering, as well as enabling technologies such as 5th-generation district networks<\/strong>, which can contribute to more efficient, flexible and integrated energy management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n With this dual participation, Wattega strengthens its presence in the technical debate on the future of building services engineering<\/strong>, contributing an applied perspective on sustainability, innovation and sector transformation.
