As part of our commitment to responsible and impact-driven management, Wattega has completed its alignment project with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong> and defined a corporate sustainability strategy, with the support of WORSLEY Acceleration Services.<\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

What are the SDGs and how do they work?<\/h3>\n\n

The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)<\/strong> are 17 global objectives promoted by the United Nations to advance towards more equitable economic, social, and environmental development. They are broken down into specific targets <\/strong>that guide companies, institutions, and civil society in transforming the way value is produced, consumed, and generated. <\/p>\n\n

For organizations, working with the SDGs is not about \u201cobtaining a label\u201d: it involves identifying which goals are truly material<\/strong> (that is, relevant) according to context, activity, and impacts, and translating them into decisions, indicators, and actions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

From diagnosis to action<\/h3>\n\n

In recent weeks, a materiality analysis of the SDGs<\/strong> has been carried out to determine which are most significant for Wattega. Based on this, the work has enabled: <\/p>\n\n

  • Definition of priority strategic lines<\/strong> aligned with actual activity and impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Establishment of a roadmap <\/strong>with measures, responsibilities, and monitoring criteria<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Progress towards a corporate strategy<\/strong> with sustainability at the core of decision-making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    This approach reinforces what we already promote within the organization, connecting strategic planning with internal initiatives and dynamics, including participation in the environmental working group (GT ambiental) <\/strong>as a space to accelerate improvements, share knowledge, and ensure coherence.<\/p>\n\n

    <\/p>\n\n

    A broad commitment<\/h3>\n\n

    One of the key aspects of the projects developed this year has been the deepening of a mitigation plan,<\/strong> incorporating an initial analysis of the main polluting factors<\/strong> and the design of a decarbonization strategy <\/strong>aimed at progressively and measurably reducing emissions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    This mitigation-focused perspective <\/strong>makes it possible to prioritize actions based on clear criteria, set realistic milestones, and integrate environmental performance into corporate governance.<\/p>\n\n

    Alignment with the SDGs also strengthens our cross-cutting commitments: gender equality, equity, <\/strong>safe and inclusive work environments, and a company culture oriented towards impact. Sustainability, understood as a strategic lever, encompasses environmental, social, and governance dimensions. <\/p>\n\n

    The result is a clear framework for progress,<\/strong> with defined priorities and a roadmap that facilitates turning vision into concrete and verifiable actions.<\/p>\n\n
