Within the new paradigm of the liberalization of the railway sector, Wattega collaborates with RENFE in providing energy consulting to the company with the aim of improving the group’s competitiveness by reducing energy costs. To achieve this, an analysis of the company’s annual electricity consumption is carried out, categorized by divisions and types of consumption, and an energy strategy is defined based on the management of energy procurement contracts (aggregated purchasing and PPAs) and the incorporation of electrical self-consumption installations tailored to the needs of each demand (self-consumption through photovoltaic installations and the regenerative braking system for trains).
